Hello,

My name is Howard Cunningham and I am the editor, photographer, writer and diver here at straitscuba.com. My goal is to provide a quality informational site on diving in the cold waters of the pacific northwest. I started scuba diving in 2002 as part of the fisheries program at Peninsula College in Port Angeles and immediately fell in love with the sport. I earned my PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor rating in 2004 at Pro Dive in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I have dived Alaska, Florida and Washington and nw cold water diving is the best in the world! We are lucky to live in an area rich in marine life with varying and diverse habitats. I would like to see more areas like Edmonds that are set aside as marine preserves and dive parks. I am always looking for new dive sites and new dive buddies. If you are interested in diving or have any suggestions, drop me a line!
